Highway US-30 Road Conditions in Oregon

US30, Portland

No traffic impacts.

We are making safety improvements for people walking, biking, rolling, driving and moving freight on U.S. 30 (NW St. Helens Road), between NW Bridge Avenue and NW Kittridge Avenue. We are repaving the roadway, replacing traffic signals, adjusting vehicle lane widths, building curb ramps to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements and improving conditions for people biking.

US30, Saint Helens

Road construction is occurring. Prepare to slow. Watch for workers.

Expect delays and lane closures. Traffic on U.S. 30 will not be detoured. The intersections of U.S. 30 and Millard Road and/or U.S. 30 and Bennett Road will be impacted at various times during construction. Work will be done Monday through Friday, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. There may be night work needed. Construction is estimated to be completed in June 2023.

HWY100, 5 miles West of Ainsworth State Park

US30, 1 mile East of Hood River

Utility work is occurring. Pedestrian detours.

This project will rebuild the intersection of U.S. 30 (Cascade Ave.) and Rand Road to align the north and south roads of the intersection, add a traffic signal, improve or add sidewalk and curb ramps accessible to people with disabilities, improve storm water drainage, and add new street-lighting. ORE224, Intersection with Pacific Highway East ORE 99E (McLoughlin Blvd)

No traffic Impacts.

Project Description: We are installing modern traffic signal controllers, additional vehicle radar detection equipment and traffic monitoring cameras along Oregon 224 (Milwaukie Expressway) from SE 17th Avenue to I-205. We are also adding new thermal imaging sensors at five signalized intersections on OR 224 to detect bicyclists and trigger longer green lights, allowing them more time to cross wide intersections. The new equipment will allow ODOT engineers and technicians to monitor traffic signal performance, manage congestion and improve safety along this corridor.

Bridge work is occurring. Use caution. Expect minor delays.

Between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, Monday through Friday, expect short delays and intermittent lane closures controlled by flaggers for material and equipment delivery.
